Nicole, Deanna, and Nick played pivotal roles in the success of Coins for Change. Nicole was the Director of Global Citizenship, vetting and selecting impactful charities to receive donations while engaging Disney employees and internal stakeholders to celebrate the program’s achievements. She announced successful charities at all-hands meetings, ensuring the organization felt part of the initiative’s triumphs. Deanna brought the program to life in-game, crafting engaging, dynamic experiences and communications each year with new causes and charities, ensuring every Coins for Change felt fresh and exciting for players. Nick and his team drove marketing and engagement, boosting participation while connecting players to the real-world impact through thoughtful follow-up communications, directly linking kids in-game with the children their efforts helped support.

Through this initiative, Club Penguin players helped direct over $15 million in charitable contributions from Disney to fund 50 global projects, including building schools and libraries, providing clean water and healthcare, and protecting wildlife.
